Immunization 予防接種

It was high time to take periodical exam by children's doctor. I called a clinic but it was all booked out until November. Nurse said, "But she'd better start vaccination sooner. We can make room only tomorrow."　そろそろ乳児検診を受けなければと、目星をつけた小児科に予約の電話を入れた所、１１月まで埋まってると言われてしまった。そして、「でも、予防接種は早めに受け始めた方がいいですよ。特別に明日の診療に入れてあげましょう」と言われた。

It was too sudden. I could not believe this small baby had to take vaccination since I hate injection. I got nervous. Husband said, "Don't be nervous. It will effect Nano."　降ってわいた、予防接種。こんな小さな体に、何本も注射をするなんて、信じられない。注射が嫌いな私は、自分の方が緊張して、夜も寝付きが悪かった。「カエちゃんが緊張すると、ナノカにうつるよ」と相方にたしなめられた。

Then next day, we went to clinic(Haruto and sister came to doctor room since they wanted to see the moment). I tried not to be nervous.　次の日、なぜかついてきたハルト（ナノカの注射が見たいのだそうだ）と大勢で病室に入った。

Nano did not know what would happen, so she was sitting on my knee as I held and let doctor shoot quietly. She did not cry for a few seconds and we thought she was strong, but after that, she burst to cry. Anyway, she got two shots.　暴れて嫌がるかと思ったが、ナノカは何が起こるのかわかっておらず、ひざに座って、されるがままで、注射をされても、まんじりとも動かなかったので、「おおー強いねー」と、みんな感心したが、数秒後、「びえーん」と泣き始めた。やっぱりねえ〜

I remembered that O, my dog, was so nervous and hard to keep quiet to receive the injection. Compared with that, Nano was quite brave and simple.　でも、O（実家の飼い犬）の注射の時は、ふるえて、暴れて、大騒ぎだったことを思うと、ナノはよっぽど、強くてさっぱりしてるなあ、と思った。
