One day, I was looking at Nano, and thought she was so cute. I heard the science story that parents had eye glass through which they looked their kids superior then they could raise them well. ある日、ナノを「かわいいなあ」と見ていて、ふと、これって自分だけなのかな、と思った。前に雑誌かなにかで、「親は子供をかわいいと思う眼鏡をかけてると思った方がいい。その眼鏡のおかげで子育てが出来るのだ」というのを読んだことがあったからだ。

I went up to husband and asked, "I thought that Nano is so cute. Do you think it is because I am parent of her?" I just wanted him to say, "No, Nano is cutest!" since he is only one who agree to it.　そこで、相方に、「ナノがすごくかわいいと私は思うんだけど、やっぱり親だからかなあ」と聞いてみた。「いやあ、ナノはかわいいでしょー」と言ってもらえると思ったのだ。

But he seriously answered, "well, I have been thinking of it for a while. You know the girl on the skiing slope looked 20 %  more cute than usual. So being parents is more big thing, then I calculated at least 50 % up we are looking at her."　ところが、相方は乗り出してきて、「俺も、冷静にならなきゃいけないと思って、ずっと考えてたんだよね。ほら、ゲレンデの女の子は２割増、かわいく見えるって言うじゃん（なんて古いたとえ）。俺らはナノの親な訳で、もっと大事なんだし、少なく見積もっても、5割増ぐらいだろう、ていう結論に至ったんだよ。」と熱く語った。

He said that we had to keep it mind to have fair view. 50% off,,,well Nano is still cute!　気をつけなきゃダメってことだよ、と相方。つまり、このかわいさは5割減、てことか、、、いや、それでも、かわいいんじゃない？
