Omiyamairi お宮参り

"Omiyamairi" is the first ceremony of new born baby in Japan. People brought baby to the shrine around 30 days after birth. It usually became the first outgoing of baby since the babies are too tiny to go out and mommies are too tired after delivery. Actually we could not do that since it was too hot during summer to go far. Traditionally there are special kinds of clothing to cover baby and person who hold(usually grandmother) but since we go only by ourselves and it was too much to pay everything, we just keep it personal and original. 　お宮参りと言えば、赤ちゃんの最初のイベントで、３０日前後に行われる。が、その時期は、赤ちゃんはまだ小さいし、お母さんは出産後の疲れでまだへろへろだし、で、少し時期をずらす人も多いだろう。私達は、夏の暑さもひどかったので、結局、３ヶ月以上経ってからのお宮参りになってしまった。また、いわゆるお宮参りの時に着るような服も、自分達だけでお参りするので、はしょってしまった。それでも、安産祈願に行った神社に行って、お守りを納めると、なんだか感慨深い気持ちになった。

At the beginning of August, we went shopping and found summer dress for Nano. "Well, since it doesn't have to be so formal, but it should be new and special cloth for her. We should buy for Omiyamairi." and we bought summer dress and pants. ８月の初め、買い物でナノに似合いそうな夏のオシャレ着を見つけた。「お宮参り、自分達だけでするんだし、伝統的にやる必要ないんだから、せめて、新しい服でさせてあげようよ」とその服を購入した。

But it was just too hot to go out during August and September. We could not make it until becoming cooler since Nano would be sick by long drive and walking outside in heat.　が、本当に今年の夏は長くて暑く、８月はおろか、９月になっても、ナノを連れて、とうてい出かけられる様子ではなかった。

Finally it got cooler at the end of September, so we decided to go. We took out the summer dress from the chest and tried it her on.　９月も末になり、ようやく涼しくなったので、お宮参り決行が決まった。そこで、サマードレスを出してきて、着せた所、、、

She looked cute, but it was just too tight and back buttons were almost coming off. While waiting for cooler weather, she grew so much,,,as a result she ended up wearing this cute cloth only twice,,,　むっちむっちで、背中のボタンは今にもはちきれそう。ムリヤリ昔の服を着たおばちゃん、みたいな後ろ姿になった。結局、ナノはこの服を２回しか着れなかった。涼しくなるの待ってるうちに、急ピッチで育っちゃったのね。

Anyway, we did "Omiyamairi"　なんとか、お宮参り完了。
