Draw the Music

After introduction of the abstract paintings of Kandinsky, Klee, Mondrian, Miro, Hundertwasser and Pollock, kids got worming up lesson listening some sound to draw-drum, paper crash and bells.

Then they listened to the first music, Forbidden colors.
Drew the wondering lines,,,
making small patterns
One of moms joined inspired by the music.
Nano was confident to draw since she did the same at home.
First ones. Each has completely different impression to the same music.
Second music-Kodo, the drum music.
Concentrate. Look like a landscape.
feel the rythm of drums and drew them with colors.
Beautiful sense of feeling music as landscape.
He got the way to feeling brings to the drawing. Energetic and direct from the heart.
Nano drew the person-object.
Mom also finish the drawings. It was great to have the time together.
Third music. Kurt Ellings. Big paper and big long brush to expand their expression.
Fun!
Of course they got wilder!
Michael Nyman, the Piano.
線と線が、コラボしたり、 on the paper, the lines coraborate
react to the other's color and lines
They did not expect to draw something, but just draw what they feel. It was free and comfortable for them.
Like Pollock, they directly throw the passion onto the big canvas.
I do not think Pollock's paintings are the goal of art, but it is a great way to break the idea of drawing nice. Kids originally very close to the joy to draw, but even for them, "the art should be this" or "the world should be" idea is getting narrower their view.
I wish that this experience helps them to draw any kinds of art free from all the "should be" ideas.
