More than average 標準以上

Since I was a baby, I have been always smaller than average. I was born around 2800g and being smallest girl in the class. My clothing is always petite. I got used to being smaller than average.　産まれてこのかた、ずっと小柄だった。２８００gで産まれて、いつもクラスで一番小さい女の子で、服も標準より小さいものばかり。標準より小さいことが、染み付いてきた。

In the maternity clinic, nurse advised me to deliver the birth smaller than 3000g considering my size. It is safer and easier for the mothers.　私の体格を見て、助産婦さんは、「赤ちゃんは３０００g以下に抑えた方が、安全なお産ができますよ」とアドバイスした。そうだよねえ、私がこんなに小柄なのに、大きい赤ちゃんだと、大変だよねえ、、、

However my baby is getting bigger and bigger. Now she is more than average. It still has more than 1 month to go, but already over 2300g and still growing. How can I keep her small? It is impossible!　ところが、チビチビは順調過ぎる程に、きっちり標準サイズで育つ。そして、前回の検診でとうとう、「標準より、ちょっと大きめですね〜」と言われるに至る。出産予定日まで１月半を残し、２３００g。このままでは、３０００以内で収まる事なんてあり得ない。なぜ、私の子供なのに、標準以上なの？

I talked with my husband and he said, "I was born 3600g. My brother was 4000g." Gush! It was your Genes! Mother in law deliver such a big babies? I cannot do it,,, If I knew, I should not marry to you!　相方に聞いてみると、「俺は３６００gだったかな。弟は４０００あったよ」と言われた。え、お義母さん、そんな大きい赤ちゃん、産んでたの？ただでさえ頭が大きいくせに〜。そんな遺伝子、困る。知ってたら、結婚しなかったよ、、、
