Nagasaki, August 9th

She was reading "What's the war?"
In Okinawa. This place was once battle of the World War Ⅱ.
71years ago at the same day, the atomic bomb was dropped to Nagasaki.

I read it on the text books and watched many films and books,
but it was the time that I really feel it
when I stood at the bridge hung on the river
where many burned people died to eager water.

Where we are now, there are many people who was there on that day,
or second and third generations.
The war was reality and tragedy was not only story.

We went to Okinawa this spring
where the worst battle was occurred  and one forth
people there was dead in the last half year.

I read the books, but I did not realize the reality
until I visited there.

Recently many pressure was spreading onto the broadcasting.
I feel the liberty to expression was getting limited by
violence and big power.
Even "The war is the last things to do." is one taboo
that NHK casters said and I was very shocked.

"To know, to think, to discuss"
It was the basic to solve the problem
when we are facing on the difficulty-misunderstanding,
conflicts, and battle even daily life.

the news was sensored,
some opinions became taboo and one idea was forced to have,
radical people denied all other ideas very hard.
That was terrible things to happen.

For my daughter and the generation to live with her, and following generations,
how much liberty and peace can we leave behind?
For the victims 71 years ago,
I would love to keep it mind what I can do.
