ユー、おもしろいね You are funny

こどもの発想は、日常から、常識から、ちょいちょい、はみ出す。
Kids often run off the frames.

突然、実験したり、
数倍の時間がかかるのに、料理を手伝いたがったり、
あれやりたい、こうしたらどうだろう、と突飛なことを言い出す。
Suddenly they started the experiments,
tried to cook even they spent twice the time,
they wanted to do everything.

ワクワクが、原動力。
意欲的で、失敗を恐れない、探究心のかたまりだ。
They never fear the mistakes.
Excitement is everything.

正しいこと、間違いないことを、前例に従ってやっていれば、
失敗はない。
でも、なにも、生まれない。
We do not make any mistakes as being set.
But nothing new would be produced.

新しいこと、人の考えないこと、寄り道や、余分なことを
思いつかない人間が、いったい、何を発見したり、発明したり、できるだろう？
Only those who think new ideas that others never thought,
who try something extra or who go to different way,
can invent or discover.

大人の社会に属していると、ややもすると、
「ね、おもしろそう。やってみない？」の呼びかけに、
乗ってくる人は、ぐっと減る。
組織になれば、さらに減って、
仕事関係になると、もはや、
新しいことへの恐怖があるのかと思うぐらい、警戒する。
Now I belong to the grown-ups society.
Often when I said, "It would be fun. Can we try?"
people did not follow. In the group, less people will follow.
If I ask in the job, they almost scared to hear the offer.

「おもしろいね」て反応を期待して、提案した時の、
「なんですか？」という、怯えた顔を見ると、大人の私でも、がっかりする。
トラブルを持ち込まれた、としか、思ってないのかな、と感じる。
これじゃ、子どもも、だんだん、言わなくなるだろう。
I expected "It sounds FUN!"
but I got, "What do you want?" hesitating expression in their face.
It made me down.
If kids got same reaction from grown-ups,
they would be more down,
then they stopped to ask next time.

子どもを相手にする人には、
失敗しないこと、ではなく、
見守る勇気、
「ユー、おもしろいね」の余裕がほしい。
People who work with kids need to have room in their hearts,
"You are funny" "It sounds interesting!"
and kept eyes to finish their challenge.
Rather than avoiding troubles or mistakes.

大人も、意識して、ちょっと、遊ぶぐらいが、いいのかも。
