Iron 鉄剤

My anemia got serious and Dr. said I needed to take iron pills to prepare for the birth. I was told to take one with stomach pill every day. 貧血が進んでしまった。とうとうお医者さんに、うわさの鉄剤を処方された。毎晩、食後に胃腸薬と一緒に飲むように言われた。

Iron pill is very strong(that's why we have to take with stomach pill) and I felt sick after taking. Finally I throw up in the midnight hard. And my mouth taste like iron for a while...　鉄剤は、胃腸薬と一緒に出されるだけあって、きつい。飲むと気分がムカムカする。しばらく頑張ったが、ある夜中、鉄の味のする胃液を吐いて、全く、受け付けなくなった。

Then I got Diarrhea after that and I got rash on my belly. I was not sure if it was from Iron pills, but I did not feel like taking iron since my anemia got worse.　その後は、下痢にもなり、お腹に真っ赤なジンマシンができた。これが、鉄剤のせいだという証拠はないが、飲まなきゃいけないと思いつつ、鉄剤は飲めなくなってしまった。

I thought Dr. would scold me, but he said, "Stop taking the pills, and take shot of injection of iron every appointment." Then I took huge dark red injection. It was hurt, but I have to increase blood.　お医者さんに怒られるかと思ったが、飲めてないと言うと、「じゃあ、辞めて、毎回注射にしましょう」と言われた。ぶっとくて、どすぐろい液体を注射する。痛いし、こわいし、いやだったけど、飲めないんだから、仕方ない。

After Dr. appointment, we had council with nurse. She checked my hemoglobin amount and said, "You have to increase hemoglobin. The baby is parasite, and she would take whatever she need even mother got sick. Now she got bigger and she takes iron more. Otherwise your delivery will be in risk" Oh, well. right now, what I want is iron!　助産婦さんのカウンセリングの時間に、「貧血がひどいわね。赤ちゃんは寄生してるから、大きくなってくると、自分が必要なものをどんどん取って、お母さん、弱っていくのよね。でも、出産が危険になるから、ちゃんと鉄を取って、がんばりましょう」と言われた。まるまる太るチビチビ子。容赦ないなあ。それにしても、鉄って、ホント、なかなか回復しないねえ。
