母の友　４月号　春のわらべうた。
ナノカは、前より、季節の歌を喜んで歌うようになった。
園で、おあつまりの時に、先生が歌ってくれるのだろう。「ひなまつり」も２番、３番を歌ったり、「春よ、こい」「春の小川」も、口ずさむ。私も、記憶をたどって、一緒に歌うと、美しいリリックに、じーんと来る。
「菜の花畑に、入日薄れ、見渡す山の端、霞ふかし」なんて、
美しい日本語だなあ、と思う。
日本語の素晴らしさは、一つ一つの言葉に、季節感や、叙情感があり、彩りや匂いまで感じられることだと思う。春めいた山の風景を見ていると、俳句の季語の「山わらう」っていう感じがして、うまい表現だなあ、と思う。
子供達にも、そうした言葉を日々の中で吸収していってほしいが、親の普段の生活が、いたって俗っぽく、現実的なので、触れさせてやることができない。
わらべうたや、唱歌を歌うっていうのは、 言葉を子供に、つなぐために、必要なことなのかも。

Each words of Japanese contains 4 seasons and emotions that gave us smell and color. In Haiku there was word, "mountain smile" meaning spring mountain. What a beautiful way of showing "spring comes to the countryside.
I wish I could give kids chance to gain those beautiful vocabulary of lyrical Japanese, but it is hard through my busy typical modern way of living. Then maybe old kids songs are important to enrich the kid's word experiences.
