Book Lover? 本好きの赤ちゃん？

When Nano was 7th month old, we got the interview about book reading with baby by parenting magazine. I was proudly showing how Nano loved being read books. At that time, she loved to sit down on my knees and quietly watching the books listening my reading. And smiled often. It was not lie or fake. She was reading books at that time! But recently Nano loves more playing with books than being read. Then she was screaming to take books I was holding and tried to open by herself. Yes, it was harder for her and soon she was mad to throw away and took another book. Peaceful book time had gone and battles with books started. I read back this article now, and felt a little sorry for the readers. Well, Nano will be good reader again soon!(hopefully!) ナノが７ヶ月の時に、クーヨンの取材を受けた。赤ちゃんと本をめぐる特集ページで、私は嬉々と「うちの子は、６週目から絵本に反応していました」と語っている。当時ナノカは絵本を読んでもらうのが本当に好きで、おとなしく膝に乗って、読んでもらって、そして、時に声を上げて笑っていた。だから、この記事は、ねつ造ではない。ところが、今では、このような絵本とナノカを囲む、静かな時間は存在しなくなった。ナノカの興味が、読んでもらう事から、ページをめくる事に移ったからだ。そして、あまり上手にできないので、次から次へと絵本を引っ張りだし、乱暴に扱う事になる。私の大事な絵本たちも、ナノカの餌食となり、ちょっとした修羅場な感じである。いや、きっとこの戦争はすぐ終わり、また、かわいい本好きになってくれるよね？

But her hands didn't move as she wanted and pages did not open like what she wanted. She grasped the paged and pulled harded and ...teared the page..of new book...Mammy was very shocked.　あまり手先が器用でないため、一枚一枚めくれず、イライラしたのか、力いっぱい引っ張り、とうとう破れてしまった。新しい本なのに、、、

I bought new thick paper book for her to open freely. And I had to buy tape to fix the book. Well I have to be happy about her new ability-tearing page ability.　どうやら、今は、自分でめくる事がブームなようなので、ボール紙でできた絵本を買ってきました。あと、補修用のテープも買わなきゃ。ママはショックだよ、、、
