Music and Nano 音楽とナノカ

I found local event of music for kids. I went there with Nano. Nano was the youngest there(main audiences are elementary school kids) I was worrying about Nano's making big noise. 先月、地元の公民館で「ミュージッククラウンショー」というポスターを見つけた。聴けるかどうか心配だったけど、ナノを連れて行ってみた。行くと、小学生がチケットを切って、とにかく手作り感満載の、地域の催し物感満載で、懐かしい感じがした。

It was really local event. MC was the middle aged lady and she told kids to be quiet many times calling their names and at the end, she briefly introduced musician and let the show start. I felt sympathy to the musicians. How can they start the show in such a introduction?司会は地元のおばちゃんで、騒がしい子供達を名指しで叱りつけていた延長で、「彼らは、世界の音楽をいろんな楽器で演奏する音楽家で、全国をまわってます。それでは、どうぞ」と、ほぼムチャぶりな進行で始めてしまった。パフォーマーさんにちょっと同情、、、

Anyway, the show was going well, and kids were laughing in a good mood. Nano made only one big"Ah-" to show her moving through an hour. Kids noticed Nano in the darkness and smiled at us. でも、そこはプロ。子供達も始まった後はとてもお行儀よく、反応よく聴いていて、ナノも、一度だけ「あー」と感動のあまり大きな声が出てしまった以外は、おとなしく聴いていた。

For an hour, Nano just sat on my knee quietly and watching the show, crapping her hands sometimes. I was very moved how much she grew up. １時間もの間、黙って私の膝に座り、時折、拍手をしながら、真剣に見ていて、「育ったなあ〜」とじーんと来た。なかなか、本当の演奏を聴かせてあげる機会を見つけるのは難しいけど、なるべく見つけて、参加させてあげたいなあ、と思う。

Nano loves music. I would love to let her listen to the real band music, but even the kids concert is not available for the kids under 3. Now here in Sasebo, it is countryside, less cultural event happens compared with Tokyo, of course. I appreciate so much the nature here, at the same time, I am worried about Nano's cultural experience at first. I am thinking that Nano should enjoy her childhood by playing as much as possible rather than getting early education things, but music and art enrich the life and I would love her to know the joy of those-she does not have to be professional or even good at them. Just I want her to enjoy them.佐世保に引っ越して、自然が豊かで、人もフレンドリーでのんびりしており、「子供時代は、早期教育より、とにかく、たくさん遊んで、健康に育って欲しい」と思っている私達にとっては、ピッタリだったと思うが、こと音楽とアートに関しては、小さい頃から親しませてやりたい、と考えている。音楽やアートを愛して、美しいものを愛でたり、感じたりする心は、人生を豊かにすると思うからだ。ニューヨークにいたなら、しょっちゅう本物の演奏があちらこちらで、ほぼタダで聴けるし、東京なら選択肢も広いから、探せばいろいろあるだろう。しかし、こちらでは、音楽ホールでのコンサートは子供は不可だし、子供コンサートも３歳から。そして、選択肢ももちろん、広いとは言いがたい。ナノは音楽が好きなので、ちょこちょこ機会を見つけて、参加させてあげたいと思う。ちなみに、ビデオは街中で米軍第七艦隊が演奏してたのに参加した様子。
