smell におい

子供が小さな頃に大切な経験として、五感を使うこと、と言われる。しかし、「視覚」「聴覚」「味覚」あたりは、こちらも働きかけがしやすいが、「触覚」「嗅覚」あたりは、なんとも難しい。反応も微妙な赤ちゃんのうちは、手ごたえもなく、どうなのかなあ、という感じだ。
しかし、3歳になり、おしゃべりが達者になってくると、匂いを嗅いでは、○○のにおい！と、自分の表現でおしえてくれるようになり、「へー」と、こちらが思うことも、しばしば。ちゃんと、におってたのだなあ、と、わかるようになった。
ちなみに、先日、相方の枕のタオルをぽーいっと投げて、「パパのにおいがする！」と言っていた。かなり、こぎれいにして、オヤジ臭はないっ　と自信を持っていた相方だったが、年齢と子供の鼻には、勝てなかったようだ。
It is said that kids should have real experiences with using five senses. Sight, taste, listening are not difficult to give the stimulus but it is hard to know if the babies noticed the smell or touch. At the age of three, my girl can speak so well and express she got by own words.
Recently she threw the towel and said "smelling Daddy" Husband tried to make effort to be clean and he had confident he didn't have "typical middle age man's smell" but it cannot hide from kids nose.
パソコン、スマホ、ゲームにビデオ。デジタルは、生活にあふれていて、また、便利だ。私も、こうして地方にあっても、仕事ができるのは、パソコンのおかげだと思う。今の世の中、それを子供の成長過程から、排除することは、もはや不可能だろう。
でも、だからこそ、実体験を意識して、させてやりたいと思う。今は、美しいどこぞの海の映像より、波の音、潮のにおい、べたべたする海水と、口に入れば苦みのある塩味、くっつく砂、光が反射する砂浜。それは、逆に、大きくなって、どこぞの海の映像を見た時にも、彼女の経験の中から、引きだされて、におったり、感じたり、するんだろう。
digital is full in the world. PC, smart phone, video game and DVD. It is convenient and difficult to avoid from our life. So I am trying to give her real experiences-not beautiful beach video but real sea water with wave sound, salty sticky water, sand and bright sunshine,,,those real experiences will support her to imagine real when she see the digital when growing up.

帰り道、歩いていると、「はっぱのにおい！」とナノカが言う。Nanoka said "smell leaves"

垣根の木を剪定していた。確かに、切られた時に、葉っぱってにおう。I found the gardener cut the tree. Yes, it smells when they do.

ある日、窓を開けて、昼寝をさせていると、、、One day at the napping time, Nanoka said "smell window"

「まどのにおいがする」と言う。外は、雨が降り始めていて、独特の埃が湿ったようなにおいが。なるほど。it was raining and it smelled rain on the dust.  She wanted to desclibe this.
