(Business) family trip 五島週末旅行（仕事でしたが）

週末、五島市保育士会で講演会をしてきた。
そもそもは、私一人の予定ではあったが、半日かけて移動、半日かけて戻る、というのは、あまりに不毛だし、帰宅が夜遅くなる事を考えると、ナノカのことも気になる。そこで、思い切って、家族で行こう、という事になった。
しかし、もちろん、交通費は私のみの支給。当初、飛行機での移動を勧められたが、相方分を自力で捻出すると、赤字になってしまう。そこで、「飛行機、一人分のホテルの宿泊、で出した予算で、フェリーや、格安宿に泊まる事で、家族の旅行費用にしてもいいか」と尋ねた所、「お渡しした後の交通費の詳細に関しては、ご自由に」とのお答え。こうして、私達家族の、お仕事便乗旅行計画」が始まったのだ。
I was invited to have a speech at the nursery school teachers in Goto islands. I first got offer to move there by airplane but I wanted to bring my family and I cannot afford it so we decided to take ferry. Also we use cheap inn rather than staying at the hotel.

ということで、朝４時半起き、5時出発で、長崎港発８時２０分のフェリー乗り場へ。張り切っていて、道中、ほとんど寝ないナノカ。私の仕事道具（本、雑誌、スケッチブック）が入ったキャリーを、運んでくれている。We woke up 4:30 and left 5 in the morning of Saturday.

長崎港。このフェリーで、長崎−福江間を3時間少しかけて、移動する。We took this ship.

２等は、床の雑魚寝。でも、子供にとっては、椅子に座るより、むしろ楽で、楽しいぐらいかも。It was floor seat. Actually it was big fun for kids.

眠ってくれたら、こちらも仮眠できるのだけど、興奮状態で、船内探検。I wanted her to have nap then we could take, too, but she was so excited that she walked around.

風が強いので、こんな風にメデューサみたいになる。It was windy.

あ、島が見えてきた。曇っているので、ぼんやりしている。In three hours, islands appeared.

おかげで、古い映画のポスターか、演歌のジャケット写真みたいなのが、撮れた。日本ビクターとか、いれたい。タイトルは、「娘よ、、、」とか。It was cloudy day, so the photo looked like Japanese old poster or local music jacket.

さて、到着し、昼食を食べたら、私は講演会へ。保育士さんの集まりだったが、シスターがチラホラいらっしゃって、お土地柄を感じる。こうして、働く方々の場所に参加させてもらうと、旅行では絶対知り得ない、現地の暮らしを非常に身近に感じる。 お役に立てたかどうかは、わかりませんが、、、講演中、ナノカは「ママはお仕事」と、建物内で、絵本を読んでおとなしく待っていてくれ、無事終了。そこから、レンタカーを借り、荒川へ移動。民宿「きはらし荘」さんに宿泊。I did speech after the lunch. There were several nuns in the group. This is very unique here in these islands-there are sad history of early Christianity of Japan and this is one of the place.

宿の前は、小さな港。after speech we moved to Arakawa, the port for fishermen.

家族連れという事で、お風呂付きのお部屋を融通してもらった。温泉。We got room with private hot spring for 7000yen /one night two meals per person.

２日目は、浜遊び。有名な高浜ビーチへ。駐車場に止めて、きれいな海が見えたら、勝手に走っていき、We went to famous beautiful beach next day.

降り口を見つけ、she ran to the beach by herself as soon as she found

だーっと降りていってしまいました。途中で、ペっ　とクツが脱ぎ捨ててあります。しかし、ここで、おしっこ失敗。then removed her shoes on way and walked with her bared feet

ふたたび、下を水着にして、出陣。日本有数の美しいビーチにだれもおらず、プライベートビーチ状態。There was nobody. We use this one of the most beautiful beach in Japan for only ourselves.

エメラルドグリーンの海を背に、いつもと同じ「山づくり」にはげむナノカ。She just played as same as school sand.

砂浜にごろごろ落ちているように見えるのは、全部、こんな貝殻です。white sand and shells.

浜の手前には、湧水。いくら遊んでも、濁りません。Pure water near beach.

いくら美しくって、楽しくても、さすがに、まだ水が冷たく、１時間程で退散。あとは、ひたすら、ドライブ。でも、薮やら、木やら、人家やらが、とにかく、違うので、それを見ているだけで、「遠くに来たなあ」という開放感で満たされる。But the season is still too early to swim, and gave up in hour. We just drove through the island to feel the difference.

帰宅が１０時を過ぎるので、フェリー前にお風呂を済ませておく。リゾート開発された場所には縁がないけど、日帰り温泉だけ、させてもらう。before leaving, we just took the hot spring at the resort hotel.

お土産は、JAで買った五島牛２００gです。なんて、現実的なわが家。Beef is main production here. Cows were looking very healthy.

帰りのフェリー。運転する相方には、眠ってもらい、私もナノカを寝かせようとしたが、興奮状態で、眠いはずなのに、やはり眠らず、、、しばしば、船外に出たがる。いい加減、イヤになってくるが、、、On ferry on way home. I really wanted her to have a nap, but she did not. I let husband to sleep since he needed to drive back afterward.

まあ、考えてみたら、船って、楽しいもんね。夕日も、長崎港の夜景も、そして、波止場についた時の、船員さんたちのやり取りも見学。She was sunset and lights of the Nagasaki port. Also enjoyed to watch the clue's work at the landing.

フェリーを降りると、駐車場に、屋台村ができ、イベントがやっていた。波の音と、船の行き交う音しか聞こえない島から、突然の雑踏と、音響と、場末感（なぜか８０年代ソングをカバーしているバンド）。しかし、あまりに物静かな所にいたためか、心地よかったりして。When we came back to Nagasaki, we found big event of the food court. It was such a crowd but it was actually fun after visiting quiet slow island.

土曜日の朝４時半に始まり、日曜日の１１時に帰宅した、長い長い週末。一日目は仕事でだったし、ほとんどがフェリーの移動で潰れたが、ナノカにとっては、「船に乗った」が一番の思い出だったようで、「むしろ、よかったかも」である。フェリーは、値段も安く、揺れも少ないので、おススメだ。Such a long weekend, and it took more than 3 hours by one way by ferry, but actually it was big event of her to ride on the ship. I found it is cheap but more than that. I recommend you the ship trip weekend.
