Body Painting ボディペインティング

I saw the poster of "body painting" for 2-3 year old and wanted Nano to join. On the day before the class, some kids canceled and they said Nano, 1 year old, could join. I was so excited since she loved drawing wild at home. I did not let Nano use the paint at home, so I thought she would enjoy. 「ボディペインティング」のポスターを見て、「ああ〜、ナノ家であんなにドローイング楽しそうにしてるから、好きだろうなあ」と思っていた。が、対象年齢が２、３歳だったので、あきらめていたが、前日に欠員が出たらしく、「いかが？」と誘われ、大喜びで参加する事にした。

At class, teacher put a sqeeze of paint onto kids hands directly. Other kids(a little older than Nano) were in tense. Nano was freezing to see that.　クラスでは、先生が直接、巨大チューブから子供の手（ママの手にも）に絵の具を乗せていく。子供達（ナノより、ちょっと大きい）は大興奮。それを見て、固まるナノカ。

I thought she would enjoy once started because she did not know how to use and froze when she got color pen for the first time. I held her hands and let teacher put paint onto my hand and her hand. Nano watched it and made uncomfortable face and complain shout.　しかし、やり始めたら、ナノカもきっと楽しいに違いない。まず、私の手に絵の具をもらうと、「え？」という顔をしていたナノカ。続いて、彼女の手も差し出し、ちょっとムリヤリ絵の具を乗せてもらったら、不快そうな顔をして、また固まった。

Then they were asked to use feet on the paper to paint. Other kids were more excited. I tired to put Nano onto the paint paper and Nano finally cried for protest and I gave up everything. At home, she even drew on her body with pen and made big mess, but she hated being dirty by liquid type of colour,,,今度は子供達は足を使い始め、さらにヒートアップ。抱っこして、絵の具の紙の上に乗せたら、とうとう抗議の声を上げて、泣き顔になったので、参加をあきらめた。その後も、不満の顔で、脇でずっとつったっていた（手と足は、べとべと）。ペンで体に絵を描いて、めちゃくちゃ汚してたから、好きだと思ったんだけど、案外、神経質なナノカでした、、、

It was diffucult for ordinal family to let kids do art in such a dynamic way since the house is of course not prepared for that. I tried not to limit Nanoka to do art as much as possible, but it is just ideal and our house is rent and I always have to think about it. So it is so true that kids have always limits about their action. I saw that the girl who was always very nervous about just a bit mess on their finger enjoyed mixing dirt of paints using all her hands. I did not expect that Nanoka was "hate the dirt on the finger" type since she was always dirty making big mess at home. Other mom said that her daughter also froze like Nanoka for the first time and she enjoyed on the second time. Maybe next time...一般的な家庭で、こんな風に、制限なく、絵の具を使わせてあげる事は、ほぼムリだろう。私も、ナノカに自由に遊ばせてやりたいと思ってるけど、実際には、賃貸のマンションの壁やら床やらの状態も気になるし、後片付けも考えると、結局、「思いっきり」なんて、させてやれてない。なので、こんな機会もめったになかろうと、大喜びすると思いこんでいたのだが、肝心のナノカは「いやーん、手が汚れる〜。」という感じで、全然、参加しようとしなかった。他のお母さんが「うちの子も、前回は全く同じで、固まってたよ。２回目から、参加してたから、慣れじゃないかな？」と教えてくれた。そっか、ナノカは、そっちのタイプか。いつもは、少しでもお弁当のご飯粒一つついても、イヤイヤ言ってる女の子が、満面の笑みで、ぐちゃぐちゃになりながら、手で絵の具をこね回してたので、「普段の様子からは、子供のこと、全部、わかるわけじゃないんだなあ」と、発見だった。固まっちゃったのも、（先生は、防衛本能が働いたのかも、とおっしゃっていた）ナノカの個性だもんね。
