changing-flower festival 花換え祭

先日、福井の友人夫妻の家に、新生児を見に行った。まだ、ふにゃふにゃで「赤子」チックで愛しかった。
友人が、「ロマンチックなお祭りがあるから行こう」と敦賀の金ヶ崎神社の花換え祭というものに連れて行ってくれた。
I went to Fukui to see my best friend's newborn baby. He was adrable!
My friend took me "very romantic festival" called changing flower festival in Kanegasaki shirine in Tsuruga.

そのお祭りは、昔、村の若者たちの出会いの場であったらしく、それぞれに一枝の桜を持ち、男性は意中の女性に「花換えましょう」と誘い、女性もオッケーなら「花換えましょう」と花を交換して、カップル成立していたようだ。
Once upon a time, it was the meeting place for youngers. Each men and women had a branch of cherry blossom and exchange them with whom they were interested. Men asked women, "Let's change the flower" and if the women were OK, they said,"Let's change flower" and then they became couples.

現在は、「福娘」と呼ばれる、地元のきれいどころがいて、彼女たちは神様のお使いなので、まず、彼女たちと花換えをして、福をもらい、、、
Now people change flower with "lucky girls"-who worked for God, so the brunchs contain "luck"

さらに、花換えをしたら、そのカップルは幸せになれるらしい。確かに、ロマンチックなお祭り！ぜひ、みなさん、来年は行ってみて下さい。
and exchange them. The couple who exchange flower have happy life in the future. How romantic! Why don't you go there next year?
