横顔 side face by origami

日曜日のリトルアーティストで、ライフドローイング（モデルを使っての人物デッサン）の間、まったく、参加しなかったナノカ。
まだ、人間の形したものも描けないので（かろうじて、顔と手足がある、２頭身ほどのものを中心に描く）、「そりゃ、ムリだよねえ〜」と、ほぼ放置してあった。いつも、付き添ってくれてるパパが、モデルをしているので、手持ち無沙汰だったようで、私に邪険にされて、ご機嫌もイマイチだった。
数日経ったある夕方、「おりがみをしたい」と言うので、渡すと、このようなものを作った。彼女は、こういう感じの、「犬かもしれない」という、ゆるいものをよく作るのだが、注目すべきは、顔の位置だ。
「あれ？ナノちゃん、顔が、真ん中から、えらいずれてるね」
「うん、あのね、横、むいてるんだよ。横を向くと、顔が、真ん中じゃないんだよ」
おお！
私は、道具の使い方は教えるが、描き方は教えたことがない。放ったらかしだ。
いままで、ナノカは、顔を、空いてるスペースに、適当に 描き込んでいた。
突然、「顔は、横向きだと、この辺になる」と言いだしたので、
「それ、自分で気づいたの？」と聞くと、
「うん」とドヤ顔で、うなづいた。
ライフドローイング中、ぶーたれ顔で、一人で遊んでいるように見えたが、お姉ちゃん達の様子をちらっと見て、なんか、感じ取ったのかな、と思った。
自然に、体のこと、物の見え方のこと、自分に気づくことができたのだとしたら、よい経験だったなあ、と思った。
On Sunday, in my art class, we did life drawing. Nanoka did not draw but just be there bothering me. It was too difficult for her who has just started to draw something with face. She looked bored and played with her doll in the room.
A few days later, she asked me for a piece of origami. She made face. I noticed that face was located too left. I asked her then she said,
"It was face looking from the side. In that case, face is not the middle"
I was surprised.
"Did you find it by yourself?"
"Yap!"
I found that she observe the elders doing even she showed no interest.
If she found it by herself not taught by anybody, it was such a good experience of hers. I was amazed.
