Summer memories 夏の思い出

What kind of summer memories do you have? Camp? Beach? Hawai??
When I hear "Summer vacation" I remembered my grandmother's house
in countryside of Kyoto.
夏の思い出、と言われて何を思い出すだろうか？キャンプとか海とかハワイとか？？
私は舞鶴の祖母の家を思い出す。

At the stage of Kiyomizu temple. I visited on way to grandmother's house.
清水の舞台。祖母の家に行く途中でよった。

Summer in Kyoto is terribly hot. No wind at all.
京都の夏は、めちゃくちゃ暑い。

Cousin and aunt.
いとことおば。

Garden.
庭。

In some ways, hot and slow lazy days as kids at grandmother's house is
so symbolised "Summer Vacation." No entertainment there, but it was happy days surely.
なぜか、暑くて怠惰なゆっくりとした祖母の家が、子供の夏休みの幸せ感の象徴に思えるのだ。
